Under the RVSA, as a Dealer or Retailer, can I add aftermarket accessories onto a vehicle in my possession for sale?

All Recreational Vehicles entered on the Register of Approved Vehicle (RAV) must be consistent with the relevant approval conditions.  Under the RVSA, it is an offence to modify a vehicle (e.g. dealer-fitted options) that will invalidate the approval conditions once it is entered on the RAV and before it is provided (either sold or under contract) to the market.

Once provided to market, the vehicle may be altered or have aftermarket accessories added.  However, any alterations or aftermarket accessory added must fully comply to the relevant ADRs.  Further information can be found HERE.
