How long are the assessment times for approval applications?

Vehicle Type Approvals (VTA) and Component Type Approvals (CTA) are being assessed within the legislated timeframe of up to 60 business days.

VTA Opt-in applications will processed up to 10 business days.

These timeframes may also be extended where further information is needed from an applicant to finalise the application.  The assessment clock stops when a Request for Further Information (RFI) is sent and restarts when the RFI is responded to satisfactorily.
